Modern Person / Employee

Past generations, especially those raised during the Great Depression of the 1930's, lived by a "pay as you go" credo. The modern attitude is often that one must have comfort or luxury.

It is unlikely that those who hold this superficially described luxury philosophy could identify with Francis Bacon's statement, "Prosperity doth best discover vice, but adversity doth best discover virtue."

Yet, it seems, after 68 years of observation, that some of the most worthwhile lives led come through adversity.
